I’m the Managing Director for Watsons, the No. 1 Health and Beauty retailer in Asia. Just like any other businesses, the greatest asset we have is our people. We have two and a half thousand people across Malaysia who work for us. And actually, we have close to 250 people in this particular building. And one of the things I wanted to do was really look after them and their well-being. And that’s quite important for me. And something which I do also recognize is the fact that if I do look after their wellbeing, there should be a payback. And so one of the things which we decided to do was look at the air quality in this building.
Working in an air-conditioned environment, pollutants do travel and also harbour bacteria as well. So, we teamed up with Medklinn, and as part of both our CSR initiative but also in a way to improve productivity, we thought let’s work on the air quality. And so now we have got a Medklinn system fitted across the whole office and it’s working fantastically well. We’ve got, in all honesty, very little maintenance. And I’m sure Serena will tell you in a while what some of the actual tangible benefits have been.
